      Greenland is self governing when it comes to internal matters. Unless Trump sends in actual soldiers there’s not much that Denmark can do without violating Greenland’s self governance. Greenland just needs to send the police and stop them.

        Pretty much every EU member is “self-governing”. And unless I misread and that’s a Greenland-based company this is an international matter.

    I read the article. No where does it say any drilling is starting. This is a sensationalized headline.

      Greenland Energy, a Texas-based company established just last year, is pressing ahead with the drilling plans regardless, with a company representative saying a vessel loaded with 300 shipping containers of drilling gear is due to leave Canada on 12 September, and drilling set to start in October.
