Feces has a lot of fats, fibers, proteins etc. in them. To humans they’re waste but many other things can make use of it. Flies don’t eat the poop but they try to lay hundreds of eggs on to them, so when their larvae grow they have more than enough to grow big and strong ;)

It seems they like the soft, warm consistency of poop. Not my description by the way.

The fly sees it and immediately thinks, “This would be a good place to start a family.”

Also how do they find the poop so quickly. My dog poops and in the 5 seconds I go to pick it up there’s like 7 flies on it.
