My reason is that Reddit has opened a representative office in Turkey. This means the government can hand over IP addresses whenever it wants. In short, I came to Lemmy because freedom is gone. Fuck Reddit.

They got rid of the popular tab. This lead me to multiple feelings:

    1. Popular is where I found new content and communities.
    2. Popular is where I could tell what other redditors were interested in and gave a sense of a larger “Reddit” community
    3. Reddit openly confirmed they are trying to break up the “Reddit community”
    4. Getting rid of this style of browsing feels to me like trying to limit the ability of people on Reddit to congregate on shared ideas

Reddit is just part of the machine now like facebook and Instagram
