Live updates: Government shutdown to continue into next week as Senate votes against spending plans

Senators voted for a fourth time to reject spending bills to reopen the US government, meaning the shutdown will extend into next week.

Trump wrote that he has an “unprecedented opportunity” and will look at which “Democrat Agencies” to cut

Yup, this is how he managed to fund his wall over the objections of Dems when they had control of Congress during the latter half of his first term.
