One of Donald Trump’s co-defendants in a wide-ranging election-fraud case in Georgia remained behind bars on Friday, after he told a judge that he could not afford a private attorney to represent him and was denied bond.

Harrison Floyd said at his first court appearance that he could not afford a private lawyer and had been denied representation by a public defender because he did not qualify.

Floyd, who appeared virtually, said that it typically cost between $40,000 to $100,000 just to retain a private lawyer to fly to Georgia.

Are there no lawyers IN Georgia??

Also important to note this guy assaulted an FBI agent and is considered at risk to continue committing crimes, a major reason he was denied bond and is currently in jail awaiting trial

I don’t want to diminish what this guy did. But let’s remember that people died and were hurt that day as a result of what these 19 assholes did. They all should be in jail without bond.

This headline is technically true, but it’s complete bullshit in it’s implications.

The judge said the reason she denied bail is because he is considered a flight risk and a risk for continuing to commit crimes.

You’d think if this was such an outrageous miscarriage of justice, some lawyer would take up the case pro bono.

He’s been hoping Trump or his PAC would hire him a lawyer. But he’s probably better off getting an independent Georgia lawyer, without conflicts of interest, who will help him flip for a deal. I’m not sure how Trump et al haven’t considered this, not to mention how it looks leaving the black guy in prison.

    Anyone want some popcorn? 🍿

I’m loving how this is quickly devolving into and endless shit show for them. Keep the updates rolling in. I still have a week of vacation left.

I’m just hoping that they’ll start eating each other once deals are offered.

I just don’t see trump ever seeing the inside of a jail cell.

Trust the process. They are going to keep putting the squeeze on all of them until enough flip to fry the big guy.

NOBODY wants to spend the rest of their life in prison. I don’t care how loyal you are, when the reality sets in that’s what’s going to happen if they don’t cooperate they will break for cover and they will “eat each other” to try and get the best deal possible.

The alphabet agencies get organised crime members to flip.

It’s going to be a walk in the park getting these idiots to turn on each other once the screws are turned.

I hope so, but I don’t see trump behind bars. Even the Dems don’t want that, as it sets a precedent that the elite is able to be brought to justice.

I do. Sorry this is where we disagree. The president is a U.S. Citizen. The laws of this land must be applied equally to all.

That’s a defeatist mentality. Then you wonder why the “elite” keep that title. Shame on you for giving into their will so easily.

If you want change. Fight for it. Don’t lay down and let them take it or they will take it all.
