It would be spun as a win for small government/libertarian ideals. Get government control out of private lives and all that jazz.
They would sneak it in as a religious freedom. Republicans would say that they don’t like the idea, but the Muslims’ religious rights should be upheld. And it will slip through legislation and create anti-Muslim sentiment among the base.
