This question… 8 Hz my brain.
I had a lit professor once who would do oral quizzes on the reading but anyone with half a brain could get literally 140% on them without doing the reading since he’d also give extra credit questions.
The first time through the quiz one day, he asked something like “Who killed Achilles? A: Paris. B: London. C: Berlin.” Then later, when repeating the question, he said “A: Paris. B: Berlin. C: London.” Process of elimination.
I’m not even kidding about the city names.
On top of that, even if he didn’t give it away in the question, you just had to wait until he read off an answer and suddenly the entire class started writing. Dead giveaway.
Is that really a meme? Looks more like some random software QA failure. Is there a community for software gore or something?
Nobody told the question-maker that they shouldn’t write the options right after the question.
The software is actually working right. Some other step failed here.
Yup, the software is randomizing these so test takers can’t cheat as easily.
I only know of !assholedesign@lemmy.world, but that didn’t really fit so I just posted it here
Yeah people think that meme now means “is possible to post” and they’ll actually spend time arguing why that’s right. The word is identical to “thing” now as far as most people are concerned
So what’s the answer? and why?
It should be 8 Hz, but according to the question text, that would mean answer “A”, while according to the labels next to the answer options, it would be “B”, because they’re inconsistent.
Frequency is measured in hertz (Hz), with 1 Hz meaning one cycle per second. A frequency of 8 Hz will complete 20 cycles in 2.5 sec.
The correct answer is probably photosynthesis but it’s not even on there. I think that’s the joke.
