Social media kills you via long term mental health damage. There is no direct way it can render you physically dead.

That said. Social media has fucked up more people in irreparable ways in my lifetime than alcohol or drugs ever could.

Gross. I feel like they only add the content bloat as a justification for the world size. I really enjoyed Origins but fell off the latter 2 before getting halfway.

I find solace in knowing this is all temporary and thankfully, the world will go on without us. Whether that’s us as individuals or are species as a whole.

Until either of those inevitable points though, know that to some small degree you are not alone and there’s at least one random stranger on the internet who is thinking about you in a caring way today.

I travel from Portland, Oregon to Denver, Colorado and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania every year for the Decibel Metal and Beer Festivals. Not sure how far that is, but its definitely multiple hours in a plane.

Looking at flying out to France for Hellfest next year as well. That’s pretty far from home as well.
