There are a lot of very bright texans, they’re just concentrated heavily in urban areas, gerrymandered to hell and our opposition party is even dumber than the national democrats. Not that there aren’t frustratingly a lot of really dumb texans.
Manufacture a crisis to sell the cure. If people die from it, well that’s just the cost of doing business.
Intelligence and popularity hardly ever intertwine
Gotta look at it like CEOs treat companies, one quarter at a time. A life is potentially more money over the course of decades, saving money not subsidizing vaccinating kids is immediate savings.
