Once upon a time, there was a site called StumbleUpon which was a glorified search engine, except you basically only picked a category/topic and their service would redirect you to some random page on the net that was under the category.

The site went down eventually and they took off their extension. They eventually turned into Mix, but now you can actually still find StumbleUpon out there. They’ve closed off their actual capability for some reason.

The closest thing we have now maybe that doesn’t exactly match but for giggles, is the useless web:

For me, probably to always have the right thing to say for every situation. Doesn’t have to be the truth, just so long as I can convince the other side or win an argument. It’s as close as I’d get to mind control maybe without the glowy eyes and actual powers.

That’s fine. The only real requirement they have is not having a moral compass and like a soldier, “just following orders”.

The only part that works is that I get to keep my trust issues.

What do they even mean by commodification? There’s literally houses out there but the prices are ridiculous and others are just holding onto property without listing them. The housing is there. They’re just rigging it and gatekeeping the rest of us.
