I know a few people closely that I’d consider a genius. I only know one that went into a field where their genius mattered. He changed fundamentals of microbiology. One high school dropout, one just surviving and making decent money doing whatever they try.

I arrived in Hong Kong from the US on 9/11 (so 9/10 in the US). Turned on BBC in the evening… and didn’t sleep for a few nights. Extremely weird way to start a year teaching in China.

I can think of a lot of ways to take out drones. Drowning them didn’t make the list.

Nobody said we were relying on that. We’ll all keep searching. We’ll all keep hoping it will bring abundance, as opposed to every other tech revolution since farming. I can only think at the surface level though. I definitely have not been in the science field for 25 years.
