I once was recommended a Japanese anime, “Gate”. It’s about a fantasy world trying to invade our modern realm. Earth strikes back with modern weapons, the fantasy world has no chance with their dragons, Orks and magic.

This I would love to see more of, asymmetrical warfare, it’s just a power fantasy, but a fun one!

In the 2020s alone we had COVID, Russian Nazis, and now Trump Nazis. Oh, and we went past 1.5 degrees.

In the 80s there was a plan to roll out fiber optic throughout the country. But media mogul Leo Kirch lobbied for normal cable connections because he wanted his cable network TV to take off. Chancellor Helmut Kohl, his buddy, of course did what he was asked to.

So that today we could have fiber nationwide, but thanks to lobbying we don’t. Thanks to Helmut Kohl and Leo Kirch.

I watched Cowboys Vs Aliens in the cinema and didn’t like it. Some years later I checked out the extended cut, and it was by far a better movie suddenly. It should definitely be above 60 percent now.

But that’s the bad thing about rotten tomatoes. The first critics dominate for a long time. That especially is the case for TV shows. If the first two episodes are good and the rest is shit it still will be forever stuck at 90 percent.
