I initially dropped out of college because I wasn’t ready for it, twice. Went right into the workforce and felt a lot of struggle for many years and learned a lot about people, power, and the value of knowing how to open doors.

Later, in my late 30’s with an established professional career I went back to college at nights to work towards a bachelor’s degree for a field I already worked in. I found the education much more valuable this time around, and frankly, I was making better decisions at that point. I got a lot out of it, even with a great deal of the material being familiar, and even wish I had selected a major I didn’t have experience in so that I might have learned even more.

I’ll note that going back to school didn’t make economic sense for me since I had already established a career, I wanted to prove to myself I could and set a better example for my daughter. I probably wouldn’t have gone back if UoPeople hadn’t been so dirt cheap and flexible, big shout out to them for being so awesome and accessible. I spent way more failing twice than succeeding once :).

While I didn’t need the degree to get where I have gotten, I recognize that it may have gotten me some steps faster and certainly helps me not get prefiltered out by HR software for desirable roles I am well qualified for. I also recognize that I learned some really valuable things from being in the workforce first, that probably positively impacted my drive, social skills, and ultimately my earning ceiling.

I’m happy with my journey through education, I learned a lot both times around and eventually got a degree I didn’t need.

Yes. I switched to vaping after smoking a pack a day for ten years. Then in about a year I was able to winnow my usage down and quit vaping too.

I had tried many times to quit before that. Have not smoked in 13 years now and after about 8 years I stopped liking the smell.

This is constantly where my headspace is for any public statements by people, companies, or politicians.

I don’t judge people by their words, I judge them by their actions, and that makes the world make so much more sense.

There are many different accents across the US.

I’m honestly kinda suspecting this is more likely someone that’s upset about the election and fear mongering than it is someone who genuinely supports these positions.

I love mine. I live in Kansas and that shapes some of my needs differently than most of the audience here, but have a Ford Lightning and it’s great.

I had to install a charger in my garage and unless you have a lot of public fast chargers near you then you’ll need that.

I’ve driven long distances with it and most of the Love’s truck stops have dc fast chargers which worked perfect on the interstate.

Weather, speed, and payload are the biggest factors for range for me. The only time any were a real problem is when the temp was near zero, but I could mitigate the severe range loss some by letting it warm up for an hour or so before I departed, which can be controlled in the app.

Man I’m sure there is some culture I could have been raised in that would have resulted in me finding that appealing and all…. But I would probably vomit if I drank any of that.

It’s actually got traction in industry where we were already exploring AR for things like using 3d models to enhance maintenance on large facility equipment.

Compared to the value prop of increased reliability and enhanced frontline accessibility of consumable model data its cost is not a barrier and its quality is a MASSIVE step up from the equipment we had.

I’ve heard about it being used in high cost per unit sales experiences too, like jets or whatnot, it haven’t seen that directly.

I once got screwed by my mortgage provider and was helpless. I submitted a complaint to the CFPB and they contacted my mortgage provider and made them make things right. That directly translated to significant money back in my pocket.
