This feels more like a LifeProTip than a shitpost

School goes as far as preventing the kids to eat their snack if it’s not a fruit or a vegetable which I find excessive, as many healthy snacks exist today that still contain some carbs
I don’t even know how to parse this statement. Fruit has tons of carbs; so do may vegetables.
And people have such varied dietary needs, I find it shocking that a school would dictate what foods are permissible.
Curious where you’re located, generally.

Hiking can be nearly free especially on beginner trails that don’t require special equipment
Writing is something I hated in school but as I’ve gotten older it can be fun to kinda play god with peoples lives.
Cooking isn’t free but could actually save you money if you eat out a lot.

333g boiling hot water filtered through 20g finely ground and lightly roasted C. Arabica once a day every morning like clockwork.
It’s effects are noticeable and it’s a pretty popular stack for millions of people but with slight tweaks to account for individual preferences. It doesn’t make me gassy but I do feel more attentive and ambitious which is a common refrain from others on this particular stack.
I do hear reports of bowel stimulation from many folks on the stack but I don’t personally experience this side effect.
I’m the exact same/opposite. I need a calculator and decimal points(🤪) to set my thermostat.
when a shitpost in the shitposting comm gets downvoted for being too good of a shitpost
I hope this is from the training manual.

Is it ‘misleading’ to say that consuming sugar can lead to type 2 diabetes?
I think it’s misleading as stated. At a minimum “excess consumption of sugar can lead to diabetes” would be somewhat more reasonable.
In isolation it implies a more direct connection between the two when the reality is other factors are much higher indicators such as genetics, excess body weight, and physical inactivity.
So in a list of those factors it’s more reasonable than as a standalone statement, but then when excess consumption of anything, along with physical inactivity, is going to lead to excess body weight, it seems a little redundant.

A nor’easter is a specific weather pattern; it’s not just “weather that hits the north east”.
I assume there is not an equivalent weather pattern for the north west.

Lemon basil tastes just like fruity pebbles/fruit loops
Ooooh…THAT precious recipe…
Yeah - I didn’t think that one was a secret…

I sure hope this doesn’t mean his voter turnout is going to double too…

Fickle fickle, Travis Bickle, how does your computer worm grow?

For me, I narrowed it down to Bitwarden and Proton Pass.
I found it very hard to test both in parallel so I ended up just kind of making a feel-based call. I think either would have been fine, but I don’t think either is as nice as 1Password.
Bitwarden supports transferring passkeys from other password managers (on iOS anyway) but Proton Pass doesn’t. That was going to be the deciding factor for me, but the transfer failed (I believe this was a failure at the OS level; not Bitwarden’s fault) so I ultimately went with Proton Pass because I felt the interface was a little cleaner.

In case you hadn’t seen the news.
I’ve been a paying customer and advocate of 1Password for over a decade but I’ve made the switch to something else.
I can’t. My battery’s dead.
