We’re gonna get a shit ton of austerity here and then future children will learn about the Trump tariffs in school.

I just find it a little ironic that the genius voters that ushered in Reagan and neo-liberalism are the same voters that support Trump and his destruction of said neo-liberalism.

Not ground breaking just an accounting of the erosion of basic human rights specifically of the female nature. Soon women will be restricted from voting, owning property, and only allowed outside while in the company of a suitable male.

This is just the continued pushing of the tax burden onto the middle class. Which really got started good under Reagan. They could, but building other trading partners in a generally capitalist economy might take a bit of helping. By making American goods more expensive to import maybe Canadian importers will look to other non tariff ridden sources.

Like super simply the $100 item from American with a tariff is now $125 so the non tariff item from not America that costs say $110 is now competitive. All this is going to do is wreck up long established supply chains and cost end consumers more.

The reason Trump is using tariffs is because Congress has delegated that power over to the executive. He isn’t protecting any crucial industry or national security or anything just hand waving nonsense about tariffs lowering taxes that his barely literate base is eating up. And of course the Republicans working in gov’t are also eating it up, because their goal has been to destroy what little social safety net exists in this country and generally show that the gov’t doesn’t work by breaking it.

I’m not a lawyer but if I was on the defense team I’d have Luigi bulking up the entire time up until the trial. Then when it is time to try on the jacket it won’t fit and the jury will have an easy acquittal.

It is more about how policies were set at the national level. Those policies have benefited them throughout their lifetimes. Boomers going to college. College is affordable. Boomers buying house make family. House good and affordable on one wage. Boomers working hard providing for wife and 2.5 kiddos. Jobs pay good and has pension. Family affordable one wage. Boomers retiring???

I heard the DOGE crew threatened to call the US Marshals if they weren’t given access.

I’m not an expert, but stuff won’t change until the domesticated middle class start feeling the pain. So go out and raise the price of eggs and push up the cost of insurance.

Last time during the housing bubble a shit ton of people got kicked out of their houses and faced decades long financial setbacks. Well the good folks got together and bailed out the banks and institutions while fucking over the home owners. Just basic gamblers logic tells me one of these disasters will have to result in a bailout for the peasants.

Or just give the farm to the workers and have them run it as a coop.

Trump needs to be scared of his supporters, he doesn’t realize how close they are to waking up to his shenanigans. If the price of eggs goes up just one more dollar the MAGAs will take to the streets!

That and Trump made at least three different attempts (that we know of) to remain in office last time. Fake electors, find those Georgia votes, and an actual attack on the Capitol. The GOP and her voters then spent four years squawking about election security and fraud. Their jackass right wing media spent time revamping white replacement theory… so they have to on some level understand democracy and voting.

So what do the big on the rule of law real Americans do? They vote for the only candidate that tried to disenfranchise a whole shit ton of American voters. It is absolutely wild that so many domesticated standard Americans failed this very very basic test.

This is why they are shoveling so much money into loyal robots.

Yup. And the US post office does a ton of the work for Jeff. Something like 2/3 of our “welfare” dollars just go to corporate welfare. What confuses me is why republican voters support this. Because I know they aren’t all multi millionaires or billionaires.

We broke our economic system a while ago. Citizen United really help drive that home. The part I find so funny is the people I know complaining about taxes and never getting anything from the government.

Yet the very same individuals don’t make a peep about the ridiculous amounts of money our society funnels to the wealthiest. Some kid getting a school meal for free? No no we can’t have that. Billionaires able to buy social media companies and make them shittier? Why just go right ahead. Multiple private space companies? Perfectly fine. How about maybe some college for the people? No dice nerds that’d cost too much money!

It is kinda sad watching us blunder through this nonsense again and again. Do these conservative voters think it was the capitalist and business owners that wanted kids out of their factories? Do they think the tycoons were the one that pushed for a 40 hour work week and it was the workers who went on strike to keep their longer hours?
