I’m at a stage where I wouldn’t mind a job that kills some of my love for something, like IT which I do have a passion for, in order to knock out the rest of my bills and build a safety net. One year at that rate would dismantle the remaining bills plaguing me.
They fall in line when they have a common, reachable enemy. As another user recently said, which I believe was wise. - paraphrased: The only reason they’re fighting is because we haven’t made ourselves a target.

I was suspicious the instant they called out the 3D printed “ghost gun”. While certainly possible, it was waaay too convenient an excuse given how that may have swung some opinions about gun safety and control. Now they’re rushing this.
Keep an eye out for thinly veiled attempts at obfuscation.
It will always be this way because people have opinions and perspectives. The two best ways to lessen infighting is by having a simple and common end goal. The second is a leader. Find both of these and I guarantee people will follow.
It’s always been that way and will always be that way. The point isn’t to stop the infighting entirely, it’s to work in such ways as to reduce the impact it has on the goals we should be striving to achieve. Namely a better world for everyone.

Not all who voted for him voted FOR Trump. I agree that MAGA is likely never going to be convinced. The rest of them can be and they should be the ones we’re willing to talk to.
We must not give them an inch wherever and whenever we can. Fight back with clear communication and facts. Challenge constantly. Party doesn’t matter. Remember that many people who voted for Trump did so legitimately not understanding what it would mean. Time to educate because people will start wanting to listen
It’s on us to fight this shit. Get angry and stay that way. Go on Twitter and other platforms to directly challenge this assertion. Give them not a single inch without having to fight for it.
That’s often the reason. We had some bullshit in my State during the election. It was worded in a way that despite being someone who enjoys doing the writing, I still felt like I had to look it up.

This time, 183 Democrats and one Republican voted against the bill, and only 15 Democrats voted for it—down from 52 last week. Since then, there’s been a full-court-press civil society campaign to take down H.R. 9495. Nearly 300 organizations—including the ACLU, the Sierra Club, the AFL-CIO, Planned Parenthood, and the NAACP—have signed a letter pointing out that Trump is likely to use this bill to silence any of his enemies, not just Palestinians and their supporters. As Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) pointed out, that could also include nonprofit news outlets.
Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) is one of the dozens of Democrats who flipped their vote on the bill since Trump’s election. (Go yell at Colin Allred, Henry Cuellar, and Vicente Gonzalaz instead)
He gave a personal example of why. One of the organizations whose nonprofit status Trump wants to terminate, Doggett said, “has protested one of my speeches.”

It is also exceedingly important to note that plenty on the Right don’t explicitly hate Trans people. That’s a rhetoric. They may be worried about some of the news “reports” and “”“stories”“”, had to triple quote that one, and yes the radical Right and MAGA do buy in hard and hate due to racial and superiority bullshit. What so many on the Right who are on the fence about these things are truly scared of…
Is having an opinion that deviates from the people around them who they’ve known probably all their lives. Unlike us on the Left who hiss and spit at one another every time one of us has a family gathering, many on the Right fear alienating their social circles.
If you ever want to change the mind of someone on the Right you really just need to soothe their rabid, horrid, twisted by those around them, frothing soul of an angry jackass and make them feel as if they can actually believe something else could be the truth.
But by GOD can it be tiring.
I was under the impression you paid less for a ticket on Spirit than you would travelling with other airlines. The extras would bump you up to the cost of a normal ticket elsewhere. Whereas other airlines push the cost of services into the normal price of the ticket.
It’s still a choice that we should strive to utilize. Not doing so may mean not having that choice, or the illusion of one. I do agree though, it’s about time we shifted things back towards a better life for everyone.
That requires carrying this energy past the election cycle, regardless of the differences we may have on opinion, and coming together in agreement.
Historically, the Left has been rather poor at banding together. We’re more likely to argue than get things done most of the time. So it’ll be an uphill battle for leaders of smaller groups across the Nation. First though, we need to make it past this hurdle.
Reminder that while these tariffs are the big news item, focus extremely hard on what isn’t being today. Work within your communities and harass the fuck out of your politicians, Republican AND Democrat. Maintenance will be the word for at least two years.
