The Reddit example could have worked the same, but the sub due to scale the equation is different and the benefit of the increased community size is less and the Reddit mods would likely see little benefit Vs the dilution of mod status.

Sure building a full on subterranean high density metro system might be the utopia, but actually developing a high frequency, high quality bus route with dedicated bus lanes can be low cost and hugely increase the volume of people carried Vs the lane you took from cars.

I would argue Iceland has a very good economy, yet it is world leading in renewable power and has minimal inequality.

There is nothing which inherently says an economy has to be environmentally bad, indeed there are many examples of economic success on the back of renewable power.

I’d agree in too many cases an environmentally bad policy is persued with economic measures being given as a justification, but that is just bad policy.

A good economy can invest green, a bad economy is a collection of of people just trying to make ends meet - the environment will never benefit from this, environmentally distructive options are usually cheaper than their greener alternatives.

Partially true, a bad economy is indeed very detrimental to society. People starve, people don’t get healthcare. People die.

They tweaked a few things in the back end when this was discussed a few days ago. I think that did result in everybody being logged out once or twice, but my experience is it’s been better since then.

I think this instance would have to be aware of the post, so either

• Somebody on kbin.social would have to have followed the user who made the post; or
• A there needs to be direct mention of a user or a magazine here (along the lines of @ random@ kbin.social) in the post.

Once this instance knows about the post I think, yes, it can appear in the Microblog tab.

Yes I was also thinking along those lines. When you create a magazine you can choose hastags to associate with it, I briefly considered whether you could create a magazine specifically to have interesting hashtags for you - problem with that is you end up modding the magazine and anybody can see it, join it and post.

I suspect what you describe might come later, it feels like a natural progression from what we have now.
