Depends on what you’re used to. Some people fight using PPE when they really shouldn’t be fighting it. It’s a difficult nut to crack since too much force from corporate over stupid safety shit fatigues workers to that kind of shit. Finding the right balance isn’t easy.

I try to point out to my coworkers that part of what they’re trading for wages is wear and tear on their bodies. Using provided PPE is like getting a raise because you’re giving the company less.

It’ll be an interesting experiment.

That’s always the case. Evolution, both biological and societal, happens after the environment changes.

You should recognize that from their point of view what you said is pretty much what they think they’re saying. Squashing bad ideas isn’t worth turning yourself into a ghoul as well. Even people with bad ideas deserve love and compassion.

It’s difficult to ban that kind of thing anyway. Ideas are hard to squash, especially ones born of a mix of ignorance and frustration.

If something is worth doing it’s worth doing yourself. Stop outsourcing your aggression to governments.

In a very specific personal hygiene way, sure. But there are situations where you’d end up with similar complaints if a white administrator approached a non-white student.

It’s not like it’s even shitty or something. That was done skillfully and it’s kind of sad they take issue with it.

I don’t think you could get away with smelly, and I don’t see a problem with any non-dangerous haircut really.

The “please pick up your kid they passed out” should have signalled to the parents to maybe visit a doctor. Maybe the mom deserves the award.

I hope our mistakes come to light and we’re able to solve the fallout graciously, strive to do better and we continue to advance to a society that cherishes human life and individuals as ends rather than means.

The suffering we create for ourselves may be an expected outcome of our behavior, but deserve doesn’t really factor into it. I won’t celebrate pain, suffering and death. Nobody deserves that, no matter how precisely they orchestrated their own demise,
