The onion’s bid was technically lower overall, but they made an agreement with some of the victims of Jones’ harassment that would make them better off overall.
Essentially one group is legally owed 97% of the proceeds of the sale while everyone else gets what’s left. The agreement was that instead of a 97:3 split, the smaller group gets a bigger payout and the larger group gets a cut of future ad revenue.
Everybody wins in this arrangement, except Alex Jones. So everyone wins.
I agree this is probably overall a good thing, but I worry if this bacteria thrives due to the amount of plastic around what that would mean for the amount of CO2 produced.

Ray tracing actually will directly change the way games are made. A lot of time is spent by artists placing light sources and baking light maps to realistically light scenery - with ray tracing, you get that realism “for free”.
DF did a really interesting video on the purely path traced version of Metro: Exodus and as part of that, the artists talked about how much easier and faster it was to build that version.
This is why they’re one of the wealthiest companies on the planet. They’re very good at “business”, which is just a way of saying they’re good at maximising profits.

This actually is an improvement. Not everyone wants to be on camera and for those folks, getting pushed off to the sidebar often means they’re overlooked.
This at least means they’re given the same importance as anyone else.
No idea what the rant about presentations is about, when anyone presents it becomes the main content and everyone - camera or not - gets pushed to the sidebar. You can also pop out presentation content to give it it’s own dedicated window.
I hate teams as a communication platform, but the presentation and meeting views are actually pretty well done compared to the competition.
Several years ago I got an email about my rockstar account - someone had guessed the password and logged in, they were trying to change the email address. Luckily I’d managed to stop it in time and recovered the account.
Several years later, I decided to give GTA Online a go, I logged in and found I had billions in cash and loads of property and cars. I guess that they must have been nodding while using my account.
But I didn’t get banned so free stuff I guess?
Is that something that’s even remotely viable? I mean I’m sure it’s technically possible but there’s way more to it than just an engine swap, I’m not sure it would be any cheaper than just building a new car.

Came here to say this, Gmail search has been basically broken for me for years. The preview suggestions when typing in a search query have been more accurate for me than the actual search.
I have a couple of old emails from 2020 that always appear in search results no matter what I search for.
