19·2 months agoI love Japan, but I will say it has its issues that often get overlooked. Workplace culture is horrific in Japan and it contributes to their high suicide rates. There’s even a word in Japanese that specifically refers to a person dying from being overworked. I know friends who immigrated to Japan, only to regret it because they saw for themselves just how harsh the workplace culture was. Japanese people have no time for their family. Something must change or this problem is going to get worse but given it’s a highly conservative culture I’m not sure it’s going to see changes anytime soon.
In the video the guy apparently was passed out, but didn’t start to breathe until the rescuers yelled at him to breathe. People in the comments are acting like the guy would’ve died had the rescuers not yelled at him to breathe.
I didn’t, no. My friend told me that this person has an account on Lemmy but I’m not going to drop names in case it’s against the rules.
It’s the opposite, their newer art doesn’t look as good as the art that was posted 5 months ago on an account that was named after a person on DeviantArt who had a very similar style. I found another account they post art on and their most recent art looks like this, nothing like the top three.
They’re saying they changed mediums and that’s why their new art looks so different compared to their old art 5 months ago (the top 3 drawings).
When even Neo Nazis are agreeing that it’s a Nazi salute, and side by side footage shows Elon doing the salute with even more force than Hitler himself did, pretending that it isn’t is not a good look and is gaslighting. I’ve seen someone claim that it couldn’t have been a Nazi salute because “half of America” and the ADL said it wasn’t, which just makes this quote more relevant:
