After the turn around they made with NMS, I’m actually looking forward to their fantasy game. I was already on the “don’t preorder stuff” squad when NMS came out but I still shared the disappointment that everyone who bought it felt.

If he admits it his wife can take half of everything in the divorce.
Between my wife and I we make 200K a year. We have a roommate to help pay bills because between her chrones disease and our kids health issues we can’t afford to live. She has been without her chrones medication for 6 months because the humera was causing problems and the new prescription has been in limbo between pharmacies not wanting to deal with it or her insurance and her insurance continually sending her to pharmacies that don’t accept her insurance. Medication that is easily affordable and available in other countries is dangled just out of reach while she suffers.
I think it’s a fun toy that is being misused and forced into a lot of things it isn’t ready for.
I’m doing a lot with AI but it’s pretty much slop. I use self hosted stable diffusion, Ollama, and whisper for a discord bot, code help, writing assistance, and I pay elevenlabs for TTS so I can talk to it. It’s been pretty useful. It’s all running on an old computer with a 3060. Voice chat is a little slow and has its own problems but it’s all been fun to learn.
Yeah, not cut and dry at all. OPs article didn’t have the chat logs. Looks like it told him not to commit but did demand loyalty. He changed his wording from “I want a painless death” to “I want to come home to you” to get it to say what he wanted.
I don’t think this is the fault of the AI yet. Unless the chat logs are released and it literally tries to get him to commit. What it sounds like is a kid who needed someone to talk to and didn’t get it from those around him.
That said, it would be good if cAI monitored for suicidal ideation though. Most of these AI companies are pretty hands off with their AI and what is said.
That’s why she says “they” instead of who she really means. She can always claim to not be a part of “them” and the label can be applied to any group people want. Keeps the hate train running on schedule.
Don’t let her fool you, she’s in the government and has a say in where the lasers are aimed.
Yeah they are popular, they do a really good job of making content available that would otherwise get scattered across a dozen services if it’s even picked up at all. Yeah, the creators deserve to get something for their work but the free market will not provide a good option.
Didn’t uBlock origin just stop working with Chrome?
I haven’t used a cable to sync my iPhone for a long time. The speed does not matter to me unless they give us free tethering via cable. Ever since I got a box of wireless chargers to scatter around the house I don’t think I have used a cable.
1bn would be a good fine. Well beyond a cost of business fine and something that should make shareholders and investors reconsider where they put their money.
It would be nice to have it be a per infraction or per day fine though.
