My God, are you ok, Mr. Chairman? Because last year, for a very long time, you tweeted and promoted Kanye West as he was calling for genocide against the Jews and you kept it up. And now when we have victims coming here, you’re tweeting this nonsense.
I, I don’t know why you would do this. I hope you’re ok. I don’t know if the aliens who are eating your ducks are in the room with us right now. But, Mr. Chairman, this is a serious issue. These people have loved ones who have been lost. And you tweeted this.
My goodness I think this style of response is the best I’ve seen yet.
They’re really doing the ‘there’s something fundamentally wrong with these people’ thing well. And it’s working.

It helps that it’s the truth.
I’m not entirely at ease with the characterization of this as them doing it performatively, or as part of a narrative. Everything nowadays is slavishly reduced to “optics” and agendas.
I will equivocate though; Swalwell’s reaction here is effective because it mirrors the reaction many of us have had to the dark turns of our friends and loved ones in recent years. This madness has frayed our social fabric, maybe irreparably.

I mean, I don’t eat meat at all myself, but I seem to remember ducks are farmed for their meat…

My wife loves duck but they’ve gotten too expensive to buy regularly. Definitely a special occasion thing.
I had duck eggs once. They tasted fishy. I did not have duck eggs again.
Wild duck meat can also taste kinda fishy, I think due to their natural diet.
Haven’t noticed it in the eggs but if I’m eating duck eggs they’re usually salted duck eggs which is a whole ‘nother experience.
They shouldn’t be fishy at all; I’ve had hundreds in my life (they are the standard here), they’re just richer.
