Okay, I kinda agree with this.
There wouldn’t be so much (bad) news to keep up with if people would just quit doing stuff. Everyone take a break for a while.
To be fair if we all unanimously took a break at the same time, that would generate a ton of bad news. The people who own the news don’t want everyone to be able to do anything.

I think “reasonable metrics and achievable KPIs” works better. You don’t really “achieve” a metric, it’s the scale that measures your achievements. KPIs have achievable “goals”.
I would have said “scalable metrics” but we were talking about climbing mountains and I didn’t want to garner confusion. (small rimshot)
