My partner is a big antiquer and we would have been out $100 if this showed up in our area.
My sister-in-law owned a real Victorian couch. It was quite beautiful, but holy shit was that thing uncomfortable to actually sit on. The seat part was at least sprung, but it was rounded and fit no part of the human anatomy. The back and arm rests were just solid wood. Definitely from an era when you did not want guests to make it to dinner time.
That’s pretty cool for $100, especially with the craft you get for over half that.
I’m just happy for the person with the little bastards are using it.
The secret to get a cat to use a bed is to place it in a spot they already like to hang out at. My cat was always sitting on an end table to look out the adjacent window, so I stuck a bed there and he couldn’t be happier to lay there all day long now.
Edit: Placing a warming pad where you want them to sit works wonders too.
Just set something you don’t want them to sit on top and they’ll sit right on it.

Not protecting that surface with a blanket in a cat house is a death sentence by a thousand scratches. Wouldn’t recommend.
