I can’t think of ever buying something very expensive in raw monies, but I did once pay £2 for an olive. An £8 plate for 4 kalamata olives split 4 ways. They were ricotta stuffed and fried. It was exceptionally tasty, but we did not expect such a wild price ratio for an otherwise affordable place.
