I’ve been there in August, and it and the rest of the PNW is uncomfortable in Summer. But as someone from Mississippi, nowhere in the US has the heat and humidity mixture that the Gulf States do.
From June to September, it feels like you’re breathing in a full sauna when you step outside. You never cool off, you just learn to tolerate always being wet and wondering if it’s sweat or moisture in the air that condensed on your skin
I’m typing this from an inflatable pool in my back yard. The water bill is going to be outrageous but that’s a small price to pay to be able to go outside.

The water here comes out super cold from the hose too, that sounds like a fantastic way to keep cool!
