Sad to see Reddit-style automods creeping in. I got so sick of jumping through their arbitrary rules on that God-awful platform. Lemmy had been a breath of fresh air for the year or so I’ve been here. However, nothing lasts, it seems.
If you want engagement, then get the bots to chill, or maybe just don’t use them.
Ask for one. You’re a person with the ability to communicate. Use it
And ask them to update the bot to add reasons in the future. Feedback for that stuff is actually useful
As keen as I am to spend my day groveling to some mod, who’s probably as charmingly direct as your good self, to determine which petty rule my entirely vanilla post transgressed, I think I’d rather just get on with my life.
