There is a video that was never released of his death. The claim was that the sting ray hit his heart directly, which makes sense. Sting rays are very easy to agitate accidentally, sort of like a bee. He got really unlucky even if he were annoying an animal.

Wut? Lol Steve Irwin has had one of the greatest posthumous image rehabilitation in history. He may have never harmed anything, but he sure didn’t respect them either. He was pretty disliked by conservationists when he was still alive.
