Tired of HDMI-CEC screwing up on my home theater set up. Looking for a universal remote that does not require a app to set up or me creating an account to set up the remote.

Flipper Zero has a universal remote mode, and for codes not in the database they can even learn commands from your other remotes.
€229 though for a Universal Remote is a bit steep
That may be so if you’re just getting it for the remote, but if you have one around for other reasons this is another thing it can do.
I have a One for All remote that has a learning function, no connectivity required. Works great. Not sure if their other remotes are the same, but the small one is great for me.
It requires four batteries‽ Holy shit!
Kodi specific, but it works well.
