Basically, renewables are the top dog with energy right now, and no one cared to bid on this coal deal. The people that won were the only bidders. And yet because of the coal lobby, republicans are trying to Weekend at Bernie’s an entire industry.

It’s why we need hard stops instead of letting it drag on. The corps will do irreparable damage to landscapes for a couple extra million in private income for a few people. It’s not worth it, but we know they’ll take the $ if they can, so we can’t give them the choice
