Kristi Noem, while governor of South Dakota, supplemented her roughly $130,000 salary by secretly accepting $80,000. She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.

Now that this has come to light, surely the law will be followed and the will be consequences!

The issue is that many american prosecutors are absolute cowards.

In other countries, some prosecutors actually do their job. The headquarters of the ruling Spanish Political party was just raided by prosecutors and the police.

      https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/spanish-police-enter-ruling-party-hq-corruption-probe-2025-06-20/

Why do US prosecutors simply refuse to do their job? You break the law. You get criminally prosecuted. It’s not that hard.

Because win rates matter. If a prosecutor loses a bunch of cases everyone will assume they are wasting money and demand a new one. And/Or they are politizing the law to fulfill the agenda of another party or personal vendetta.

now that it is finally put to the test, cowardice seems to be an American trait not limited to prosecutors…

sadly it turns out that the USA is full of chicken hawks

80K? That’s, what, a party favor’s worth of bribes? Most members of this administration wouldn’t even get out of bed for such a paltry sum.

The fact that all of our freedoms and rights were for sale is bad enough, but if you see the absolute bottom prices that were paid, it’s a hundred times worse still.

Didn’t we recently find out from some leaks or disclosures that you can essentially buy some politicians for as low as $10K? I can’t remember the source right now

    Revoke her citizenship, I guess?

That would take paperwork. It could be traced back to his orange ass.

Sending a buncha “alpha” male types in masks to kidnap people and “deport” them is much easier.

Trump used Stochastic Terrorism! Sadly, its super effective.

If it were up to her, probably sacrifice a few more puppies as a distraction. Worked for her boss after all.

How soon could one expect the g3stapo to storm one’s front door if one posted her home address for all her “constituents” to see?

But I mean, it is publicly available info, quite easy to find if you look in the right places… Plus she probably already has full-time staff sorting through all those shipments of syringes packed with puppy poop she must get… Probably.

    Only asking for a friend.
