If he owes something, via suit, divorce, or forfeiture, I imagine the $422M is as much in play as the property would have been.
I don’t see how selling it shields him from anything. The $422M is just as much of an asset as the property was.
How would this help? He sold it for $422M.
I’m aware, I was responding to the “land use license” that California supposedly could revoke (they can’t), not the water rights.
