TDLR: if you were vaccinated in the 1960s you may need a whole new course of boosters. Also, if you were vaccinated before 1989, you may need one additional shot, since the 2-shot model wasn’t recommended by the CDC until then.

I went to the last one in DC. It was cold and rainy but everyone was in good spirits and having fun. Was great to be around all the other science needs. Got to hear Bill Nye speak in person.

I didn’t find out about this one until a couple weeks out. I could have still gone, but this time around I just don’t have the emotional strength to deal with everything going on and put on a good face for the sake of solidarity. I went to the March for Science and was glad I did. It was cold and rainy but everyone was having a good time. Got to hear some great speakers and geek out with other scientists. It was really encouraging to see the scientific community come together. I’m hoping we will see more of that this time around.

When Trump won the first time, I cleared out any news or politics subs on reddit and took political news off my news feed. It helped my mental health tremendously even if I couldn’t ignore it completely.

I love these games. I replay them both every few years and they are still fun. I’m still pissed about what happened to Arcane Studios and what could have been had the big corpos not done their usual bs.

I want to support the environment and all, but an EV car is going to be even worse than an ICE car with having everything controlled by touchscreens and collecting data that the car companies sell off to the highest bidder. It’s harder (if not impossible to customize or repair since the whole thing is based on proprietary software, and the average mechanic isn’t a software engineer.

Not a lawyer, but it seems like changing the ball throwing mechanic is an admission that they are taking ideas from Nintendo. Maybe they are trying to minimize the damage but still seems like they are weakening their position.

It’s totally dumb that people calling themselves journalists write entire articles based only on tweets, essentially virtual gossip. I will be happy to see that end. At least it’s not as common now as it was even 2 or 3 years ago.

Good luck to them. MLK and Malcom X were critical voices in the civil rights movement, and they were lost too early. If the government was involved (as it appears it was at least passively) in the assassination, they should face some accountability.
