DNA might contain health information, but unlike a doctor’s office, 23andMe is not bound by the health-privacy law HIPAA. And the company’s privacy policies make clear that in the event of a merger or an acquisition, customer information is a salable asset. 23andMe promises to ask its customers’ permission before using their data for research or targeted advertising, but that doesn’t mean the next boss will do the same. It says so right there in the fine print: The company reserves the right to update its policies at any time. A spokesperson acknowledged to me this week that the company can’t fully guarantee the sanctity of customer data, but said in a statement that “any scenario which impacts our customer’s data would need to be carefully considered. We take the privacy and trust of our customers very seriously, and would strive to maintain commitments outlined in our Privacy Statement.”
“Israel shoots dead activist” has to be the dumbest headline ever. What’s wrong with clarifying it by saying “Israel murders American activist”?
Because BiBi WoUlD nEvEr LiE tO aMeRiCa.
Lies, lies and more lies from Israel.
“Myers felt like he did not have time to call 911, and that he had a duty to act to stop the individuals from hurting someone innocent, and to protect his son, who was in the location next door,” according to the police report.
No time to call 911 my ass.
Fucking murderer didn’t want anyone else getting the credit for his kill.
User data leaked, AWS S3 buckets deleted, and user data wiped :3
hahahahahaha!!!
I dunno. Oliver has guaranteed him a cool $1mil per year, until either Thomas or John dies (out of his own pocket no less!!), AND thrown in a brand new, top of the line Prevost Marathon motor coach.
It’s a mouth-watering deal.
Lol. The orange asshole wouldn’t get within a mile of 60 Minutes because he knows he’d be shredded to bits.
