The flyer does no good if nobody looks at it.
“Harsher” is a weird way to say “even more petty”
What they don’t seem to realize is that Mangione himself isn’t all that important. Whether they kill him or successfully vilify him, in a few years people won’t be thinking about the man himself all that much. Their continued hardship will be what they think about, and as long as it’s the capital class’s fault, the anger will keep growing.
Anyone who is going to listen to Elon Musk’s daughter already knows it was a nazi salute.
Whoopsie, looks like we ignored your ruling!
This judge is being disrespectful!
Pick one, asshats.
“All the conman did was take his money. You made him feel stupid.”
Don’t remember who that quote was from, and that’s certainly not the exact quote, but I always liked it. If it rings a bell for anyone, I’d like to know.
Edit: CW: Reddit. It was David Frum, apparently. In spite of that I still like the quote.
Those people are disappeared now, aren’t they?
“Chief Justice John Roberts furrows his brow and shakes his head while consistently ruling in favor of Donald Trump’s agenda.”
If I took a drink every time I read a lemmy post about some country hating on the current US, thought to myself “Can’t blame em”, and kept scrolling, I’d be wasted before I got out of bed.
The free will question was the main thing that started my deconversion. It’s a problem that was simple enough I couldn’t just write it off as “There’s probably an answer, even if I don’t know it.” It’s also a contradiction at the very root of religion that you can’t write off as inconsequential, like some of the contradictions in the Bible.
I’d settle for the people who were responsible for the wrongful imprisonment serving an equal sentence.
I saw nothing.
They’re lucky not to know, doop fell hard off after it was acquired by Skoot Corp.
I’m not an advocate for “Both sides are the same” but I am an advocate for “Democrats are failing to meet the moment and we should fire the whole leadership.”
I’m a federal employee. Being furloughed for awhile scares me less than what DOGE is doing. Every coworker I’ve discussed it with (and it’s frequently discussed at my office) feels the same way.
I’ve had enough of this “you can’t blame democrats for what Republicans are doing.” They’ve set up and maintained a system where they’re the only people who can push back on the fascists, and now that the time has come they’re refusing to stand up, and keeping anyone else from standing up.
They’re not just incompetent, they’re complicit. The billionaires and Republicans are our Nazis, and the Democrat leadership are our Vichy France.
We can do better
At least this one will be tougher. The postal service is in the constitution.
You’d think the fascists would have learned not to put this stuff to a referendum by now. I suppose we should be grateful they havent.
