  • It’s soul crushing at this point to see how effectively a bad actor can fuck up the US. A carnival barker is nominating arsonists and telling everyone the bonfire is going to be amazing and loved by all, and instead of giving consideration to what the fuel for the bonfire will be, the half of the Senate comprised of arsonists and pyromaniacs has decided the bonfire must be funded at all costs and should be the biggest bonfire ever.

I fucking hate this. Fuck fascists.

  • It’s so frustrating that Camila doesn’t deserve any of this, but the person saying they wouldn’t change their decision and does deserve to see consequences will refuse to actually feel them.

Like, I want her out, but how dare this asshole say he regrets nothing while asking others to bail him out for the thing he voted for and still wants more of? Why is a social safety net OK in this case to this guy, but not for anyone else?

The detentions are a for-profit endeavor, the people are being treated inhumanely, and this is all some Nazi-level shit. I want all the allies that can be won away from the neofascists. I fucking hate this particular dude’s refusal to recognize the taste of boot leather though, even as it impacts his supposed loved ones. It’s maddening.

    Free Camila.

  • I think I get what you are saying, but also, I’m not sure my point got across entirely. The article and headline use this “from 0 to 100” verbiage to imply a rapid acceleration from being at rest (as in, 0mph) to suddenly moving at a very high velocity (100mph). And that is relating people who watch snuff films to the at-rest part of the analogy, no effort spent, just coasting along… a default state, if you will. And, of course, the real wacko ones that end up just happening to take it a bit too far are the ones that just suddenly find themselves going 100mph, having obviously had to expend a great deal of energy in pursuit of that sudden delta-v.

I’m saying, on that kind of a scale, the people that would never even consider the existence of smut and, upon hearing about it, would be far too revolted to want to have to see it, has a velocity so far in the negative that it’s probably worth considering setting the 0 in the scale to the people who are all the way on the smut-is-gross-and-also-a-red-flag end of the dichotomy on this issue? That’s got to make more sense than setting 0 at “they watch that nasty shit but don’t, like, act on it” as the 0-point, doesn’t it?
