Hate to break it to you, but our police have been militarized with military gear for decades. During the massive George Floyd protests in 2020, the police used all of those weapons against crowds (except microwave, but they definitely used some type of sonic/sound crowd control weapons).

Yeah, I legitimately don’t understand it. I used to like his show back around 2016-2017sh time frame. Back then, he usually just had well known comedians on and shot the shit and it was funny. Hell, he’d even have cool scientists on discussing new research they were doing that he found interesting. He’d have the occasional fringe topic, e.g. UFOs, conspiracies, etc., but it was always done in an entertaining way and wasn’t overly political.
I don’t know what the hell happened, but around 2019/2020 he just went way to the far right and became a giant piece of shit. I haven’t listened to his garbage show in years.

I don’t understand this legitimization of Elon. He has no formal US government appointment in any capacity. It’s all just been Trump informally saying he’ll head the Dept of Government Efficiency, which isn’t even a real government agency (only Congress has the power to create new agencies). So why care what Elon thinks? I guarantee that either, A) the Trump admin will throw him out eventually when he’s no longer useful, or B) he “quits” when he’s gotten whatever governmental protections for his companies that he’s inevitably seeking. Ugh, I hate billionaires.

It depends where you live. But it does majorly suck when you end up needing to change your kid in a place that doesn’t have it in the men’s bathroom (I’m a dude). Hell, it happened to me over the holidays when I went out with extended family that was visiting to a nice restaurant. I was changing my daughter’s dirty diaper on the stupid little countertop area in the bathroom that had all the concierge type amenities. I just pushed all that crap into the corner to make room and one of the staff came in and gave me a look and I just commented they should install a proper changing station in the men’s bathroom in the future.
