All of those ‘Socialist’ governments in the EU, with the highest quality of life, highest quality of happiness, and some of the least wealth disparity in the world, are committing atrocities against their own people?

Some of these governments probably commit atrocities in countries other than their own, but that would be because of Capitalistic and Imperialistic policies, not Socialistic ones.

From the looks of the video it doesn’t necessary look like the dog was tied up, but that maybe it escaped its house/owner and got its leash stuck in the fence. It’s still sad, and especially fucked up if the owners left the dog behind, somehow, but I don’t want to jump to the conclusion that this happened on purpose until there is further info on it.

I know it’s a joke, but Dr. Peterson has never said anything as profound as the root comment. He can definitely say some things that are as long winded as that comment, but his point would be about women being better off in the kitchen, or something about how pronouns are going to end civilization, or some garbage like that.

99.999 percent of us here would never have this problem because we will never be close to owning a private jet, even if we wanted to for some reason. I also think most of us here agree that owning a private jet is selfish, and since its kind of a problem brought on by her own selfishness, it’s kind of hard to feel bad for her.

The thing is that many of the employees at these kind of places shoplift too. I worked in grocery and department stores for years. Some places were worse than others. It turns out the places that pay fairer wages have less employee theft. What a concept.

The majority of employees just take nearly expired items, and defective boxes, etc. There is so much waste and so much goes into the trash at these places. It’s hard to not be tempted, because it’s mostly just recycling at that point.

So, I agree that these cameras are there to spy on the retail employees, on top of the customers.

I totally agree there. They should make it as graphic and specific as possible to really show how fucked up the situation is and show how terrible the perpetrators are, at least in my opinion.

I mean, it’s sexual assault obviously, but in this case, “using a sex toy on them” provides a bit more context than just generically labeling it as “sexual assault”. Sexual assault could be many different things.

The article also goes on to describe that they put the sex toys in the men’s mouth. I think the “used a sex toy on them” is just more descriptive in this situation, because if they used “sexual assault”, people would not be able to decipher what these POS officers actually did.

I do agree that the media can be terrible about minimizing sexual assault on men, but in this case I think the headline is more descriptive. Also , fuck these racist rapist cops.

I completely agree with you that there should be no legal requirement to warn an intruder before utilizing self defense. I just feel that its nuanced, and in this particular case, if I was the homeowner I would be screaming my head off warning the intruder that they are about to die in not such a polite way. I just would feel morally obligated to do everything I could to divert the situation, and I would hope most others would do the same before making the decision to end a life.

I mean I’m not in the camp of thinking the homeowners were necessarily in the wrong, but have you seriously never heard of someone breaking their own window to get back into their own property when they were locked out? Also, yea it is possible to communicate with a blackout drunk person, or at least try to warn them.

I dont know the whole situation, but if they didn’t make any effort to communicate or warn the guy before they shot him, I do think that’s cold hearted. If they did try to communicate and were ignored, then I think they didn’t do anything wrong.

Legally speaking they are obviously in the clear. I just dont know if this was acceptable from a moral perspective to me without knowing the full details yet.

Those are the oldest known recordings of many of the stories in the Bible and the Quran.

I also find it weird that she condemned the Catholic church for sexual abuse, and then joined a religion with a prophet that married and slept with a 9 year old.

The evidence doesn’t quite go back 1800 years, but there is 1000 year old evidence against them. It isn’t that hard to imagine that it was probably going on before then, too.
