2 years agoThey’re just following in the EU’s steps in a self-aggrandising move. Everyone knows apple won’t bother with splitting the iphone line and will go with USB-C soon.

1·2 years agoWhat a little, ridiculous, narrow-minded view of the world.
Not optimality. Maximum profit. Very different from any definition of optimal I would personally use.
But that would require some mechanism for redistributing wealth and taking care if those who choose not to work, and everyone knows that’s communism.
