I’m really proud of Minnesota’s current leadership. From my perspective, they’ve been more receptive and thoughtful to the Native Nations in our borders.
They have released thousands of acres of land back to their rightful custody in the last few years alone, and are recognizing native heritage by returning the official names of places and lakes that are historically significant.
Hopefully the future holds even more.
“surprise kiss on the lips”
That’s a really interesting way to spell sexual assault.
Once again, we are incredibly lucky they were so stupid.
By definition it isn’t carbon sequestration if the grams CO2 equivalent (gCO2e) isn’t negative after a full lifecycle study. Lifecycle studies are somewhat contentious as you might imagine since they try to encompass so much in one number, but generally studies agree that the major proposals are strongly negative.
You can read more about that here for a few of the more likely candidates. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_sequestration#Geologic_carbon_sequestration
Actually this solves a very important problem. If we stop all pollution and carbon emissions today the earth will still be heated up significantly for the next thousand years or so. Enough that life will be more than uncomfortable, we’ll have massive water shortages, widespread desertification, and wholesale extinctions of many plants and animals.
We need carbon sequestration if we want to control the damage already done.
Something tells me they’re going to test this theory lmao
Oh good. Glad to see they’re really invested in this “bust - boom - bust” business model they accidentally succeeded with during covid
Dean Phillips is a real one. He represented me while I lived in his area. I emailed him a couple of times to insist on the right to repair, find solutions to police brutality, protect Internet freedom, and various privacy votes.
Each time he personally called me. He himself. We’d have a conversation. And then when new votes came up around the same topics, he’d call me back to discuss. Once a year he’d call to get my opinion on how things were going in general and what I was concerned about. He also holds regular virtual town halls.
I should stress I’m nobody important, and he does this with anyone who engaged with his office.
If all reps were like him, our country would be much better off.
