This is just fear mongering. Taiwan is safe because of years of good economic decisions. They have semiconductor factories. That’s why it’s valuable. You can’t get what makes Taiwan valuable by going to war with them.
Also, most countries don’t formally recognize Taiwan. How does Taiwan have airspace if you don’t recognize it?
A little internet disclaimer: I’m not pro China. I disagree with nation states as a concept, but let’s try and think about what’s actually happening here.

I’ve appreciated a lot of these stories so much differently as an adult.
Xavier, the good guy, is loaded and low-key supports mutant genocide because his motivation is to maintain the system that allows for out groups to be genocided.
Magneto is attempting to make everyone safer by dismantling the systems of oppression.
Decentralized social media needs the users to understand the importance of keeping it free from corporate interests.
This fediverse is a version of the commons, and it’s up to each of us to acknowledge this in order to keep it that way.
I sat reading the comments and nodding along and then realized that all this discourse is essentially 'poor country can’t afford nice things '. I’d be really upset at someone that made fun of a person over the junker they drove because it was all they could afford.
