    Don’t blame older people, blame capitalism. Americans have voted increasingly rightward, and are more supportive of enriching the billionaires in the mistaken belief that they’ll create jobs and pay us more.

        Just throwing it out there that only a tiny fraction of GenXers were old enough vote in the 1980 or even the 1984 elections. I am in my 30s and only one of my parents was old enough (and definitely did not vote for Reagan, I have seen their Mondale button), the other first voted for President in 1988.
