No thanks, I’ve had two videos get strikes and removed by them. One was a video that showed people how to remove the FireStick stock launcher and replace it with Wolf Launcher so you could use a clean, ad-free launcher like Simple TV Launcher. And the other was just a video that walked people through using ReVanced Manager. I mean, I get it, it’s their platform and they can choose what gets broadcast on it. And I’m also not entitled to them hosting a video that walks people through cutting out their revenue stream. But I read the policy they cited me breaking, and you would have to apply a very vague interpretation to say I broke it.

I got a strike for putting a 50 Cent song over a silly video of people dancing at a church. It synced up perfectly and was the greatest thing I’ve ever made. 50 was cool with it, it was the church that gave me the strike.

I don’t know, I did use their video. I basically made this, but made an actual new video, since sites like this didn’t exist at the time (probably need a desktop browser to make this work, iOS was only letting one video play at a time). The timing might be slightly off with this depending on how things start.

I think the version of the song I used also had a shorter intro so the lyrics came in sooner.

What use is the training when Youtube will randomly change the rules, make them effective retroactively, and give you two strikes at once?

What a slap to the tits to Youtube content creators. Essentially it is just “diveristy training” for Youtube creators.

I wish people simultaneously added their content to Peertube. My trust for big tech is at an all-time low.

I prefer LBRY/odysee and nostr looks promising in the future as well. Peertube is good but not as censorship resistant as LBRY or nostr.

Except diversity training is wishful thinking, this is just fucking patronizing. Like youtube is rubbing their nipples on the zoom calling telling a veteran youtuber how to avoid content warnings. Fuck off. Omg.
