    Reddit’s (to some exent, Lemmy too) Misanthropy is kinda oddly unsettling.

    I mean, people would joke about ending the world because humans “deserved it”, sure funny joke, but I’m starting to be worried if they are just joking or are some people actually planning to “punish” humanity for the wrongdoings of a few politicians that run the world.

      Echo toxic sentiments for long enough and people are going to start believing it.

      I’m about 95% sure that communities like 4chan, Reddit, Poal, 8Kun, etc are the reason why the American & European political climates are now so fucked.

        they wouldn’t be quite as negative if the mainstream media didn’t only talk about them as if they are evil and scary and bad just because they allow discussion of topics that some people don’t like.

      People that correctly recognize the state of the world are naturally antinatalist, if not misanthropic.

      We took a world that produced practically infinite food for free and somehow invented credit scores while causing the single fastest mass extinction event in earth’s history.
