Summary

Trump’s trade wars and tariffs are hitting his own voters the hardest, with retaliatory levies from China, Canada, and Europe targeting industries in Trump-supporting states.

A New York Times analysis found that nearly 8 million Americans, mostly Trump voters, work in affected sectors like farming, steel, and manufacturing.

While some remain loyal, others are voicing frustration over job losses and economic strain. States like Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Indiana are particularly vulnerable.

Cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security could further impact Trump’s base.

I have a really hard time feeling sympathy for them. Like lots of people who didn’t want this are getting hurt a lot more now, so anything that comes to them is well deserved

Actually, at least China and the EU is better prepaired, and the replies came faster and in a more precisely tailored fashion. So this is not a slap on the butt pain, this is intended as a kick in the balls pain. Which even hardcore Trumpists might notice.
