I think this is wrong. Zionism is a form of ethnic nationalism and it’s not more racist in its essence and its totality than any other ethnic nationalism. It has, like every other ethnic nationalism, racist strands, of course, and those are currently dominant and engaging in genocide and apartheid. But we have to be able to make the distinction. For example: Croatian nationalism is not racism despite what the Ustasha did. Kemalism is not racism despite what the turkish state did to the Anatolian Christians and the Kurds. Ethnic nationalism can turn extremely ugly and dangerous, but it’s not the same thing as racism. The two can be related, but you cannot say the one is the other, that’s just removing meaning and nuance from words.
Nazism was born as a reaction to Zionism, ergo Zionism is OG of all modern Nationalist movements. Racism on the other hand is older than Zionism, its OG of all isms. I have always treated Zionism as evil doctrine, in the same corner as Nazism.
