As social media usage has grown, it has heightened concerns about excessive screen time and its negative impact on child development and mental health.
So how do you enforce this except by introducing government ID verification into all digital social services so children can be properly excluded?
you can outsource the verification to sketchy third parties, like we did in Australia
That’s part 2, and later comes part 3 which will ban VPNs.
I know this is impossible to enforce, mostly because the parents are addicted too, and see nothing wrong with handing a one-year-old a tablet, so they can spend more time on their phones.
I think what’s really needed is a huge social pushback, shaming parents who let TikTok raise their kids, and shaming everyone for spending too much time staring at their phones.
If you can’t stop doing it, at least stop defending it.
We mustn’t regulate the service, we must regulate the people!
They have press, tv, radio, and now they just want to control internet. Just that.
